Getting late, don know whether to blog or not to blog..

Just a bit of update.. Today's little DM's birthday. Don know whether he is 4 or 5. Ask his elder brother, DV. He said 3?? haha.. a bit of confusion.. ended up? We put up 4 candles on his cute birthday cake we bought. For gift, 4-in-one (crayons, magic pens, coloured pencils ie.) set + a colouring book.

A little happening while buying the colouring book at Popular. My opnion and the guys' differs. Best solution is asking kid of same age. Hahh.. the guys did when they saw a kid at a corner. While asking, his parents came back, staring. We realised what happened.. They thought that the guys are trying to sweet-talk and kidnap their son?? Hahh.. I also interrupted. With a lady like me and the gift set in my arms, I think we managed to convince the kid's parents that we are trying to 'test water' for gift and not up to any thing funny.. ;P think the guys has forgotten what they learnt in Moral Education in primary school - never talk to strangers... hahah...

Think it's a great gift as the 3 kids can share and use the crayons etc.. colouring book is meant for Birthday Boy.

Hope that DV wont be jealous that we celebrated with cake and present for his younger bro and we didnt as his birthday was last month and we were not close to his family back then. One more thing, Little NC is actually the 2nd National Day baby years back; also an Aug baby. Yeah... we can celebrate our birthdays together, post-celebration and pre-celebrate for her... Girls Power!!! ;P

No license. But paying for car insurance. Yes.. his car insurance premium..

I asked him to check with existing car insurance company - almost $4k (insurance premium + road tax). Wow... very expensive, but i expected it not to be cheap. How you expect insurance co not to impose heavy loading after a big claim. That's one of the reasons why i insist that it is important to save up for rainy days. Well, it does not imply to him since the start. Now, we quarrel cause i see it coming but he dont. I hope that it just teach him a big lesson . Not just a hole in his pocket and as his GF, a bigger hole for mine (losing all my saving to help out). Not a issue of paying but also practising self-control and treasure our relationship.

I felt terrible during this period. Different people different opinions. Some urge me to give up when it's seems so hopeless, some urge him to give up, some asked me give him a chance, some says give others a chance. some encouraging, some praying, some things became worse. Well, it's almost over. I am still pinning hopes. Yes - giving another chance. Hope that he will learn how to appreciate things in life for better. Not that he has not never gain, the fact is that he dont know the seriousness of losing.

Though we are on talking terms but just odd. we should not continue but start afresh, a new chapter in life. Coming to 8 years of relationship, always reconciled after a day or two but this time round, we took more than a month. Hard to describe how it felts.. probably with family members, you will never cause everyone is part of family. with friends, even good friends, you will probably reconciled but in BGR, it's a line btw family & good friend type of relationship.

I am just praying for better firm foundation to continue this long marathon.

Today is 19 Feb 2006. More than half of Feb is gone..

Recalling what had happened. Returned to work on 2 Feb as company gave a day of company holiday. Had lotsa of visitings this year - from own relatives to friend I recently know. Strangest thing - my own peer who got married last year settled with a baby gal gave me a hongbao when i popped by for visiting. Collections is not a lot but it's every single thought that counts. Ended the CNY weekend with a friend's twins full month (2 boys!!!) cum housewarming celebration and a streamboat reunion at home.

Twins full month cum housewarming - the house design was done up by my friend. Country style, one word - NICE. simplicity and warming.. with the bundle of joy makes that a happy family... Yes, same age but different lives. I felt happy for her. Sigh.. I also kinda look forward but don know what's in store. My love life as I described to my cell group member and her hubby today - a house built with ard 90% completion but a big crane came and it's gone with bites and pieces. But never mind, as long as the foundation is still firm, let's build that house again.

Streamboat reunion - something i looked forward to every CNY. Why? well, there is only twice per year that my family really sits down and have meal together at the dinning table - CNY eve and within the 15 days of CNY. So no matter what.. yes nothing, nothing beats family bonding. you could have more meals with even people colleagues, friends etc. on daily basis but not own family, so must learn how to cherish some moments of lives.

Another invitation from my friend. A gathering with new group of people. Sitting there, listening to what happened recently. They also got to know one another through common friend, from strangers to friends. same age or 1-2 years my senior. Almost all came as a couple (Bf, gf, hubby & wife) settled with house.. so asked about wedding, buying house and renovation. One conclusion - no matter how expensive, some things must be spent on. There will be disagreements, arguments etc. but it will be over and it is worth. Started some drinking game, i lost most of the time. ended drinking a few glasses. That's bad - could hardly get up for service this morning and my tummy is like a washing machine. my head is also spinned like one till now. must sleep early tonight!

Came back home early. Officially knocking off hour is 1700 hrs but always ended working later than this official timing.

Read the article on topic of Organic fruits and vegetables in "Mind your body" a week ago. ..organic fruits foodstuff, vegetables - grown w/o any synthetic or chemical fertilisers or pesticides.. Reminds of church sermon months or over year ago, on the topic of "Fruit of the spirit" - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.

Yes, fruit of spirit is like a person. The good side of a person that have all these living in him/her but often, temptations, greed, envy, jealousy, anger etc comes into his/her life.

So, everyone is trying to be like that of "organic fruit" more valuable but ended like a normal fruit. But being a normal fruit is alright too as long as the good susbtance(s) is there.

This ex-colleague of mine is someone i am closed to in my ex-company. Through all these years we keep in contact often and she becomes a good friend of mine. Often, jokingly she says if she's fortunate enough, I am old enough to be her daughter. It's quite true.. we are like 22 years apart. She is someone who shares her life experiences with me. Someone who encourages, gives her listening ears, someone who even lents her place as a refuge place when things goes wrong..

We met up for tea on 4th day of CNY. Catching up with what had happened in our lives recently. Once again, she sits there, quietly, listening to the issues in my life. As we chatted, she took out her purse, showing me a passport photo she took a year ago, asking me whether she looked nice in the photo.. She intends to use for her funeral should anything happened, and shares with me that her friend of same age passed away recently.. it a high time for her to get prepare.. kinda sadden my heart. For a friend who is always there.. yes, life is very short.
