First wedding that I attended this year is Dar's colleague's wedding.

Married young for a guy. 24 turning 25. Needless to say, the wife is younger. But they make up their mind to marry young. They booked their wedding package since 2005. Coincidentally, their same bridal shop is same as ours. They got a good deal, SGD5,000 plus includes everything, from more gowns to photography for AD & PS, car decor, 2 albums of 150 photos etc. Thought that we got a reasonable deal, as compared, we are far from them. But good thing is they told we should rip our co-ordinator by quoting their names.. haha.. I cant image, how is Dar going to do it? He always seems to give in so easily..

Normal christian couples have to go thru morning sesson, church and dinner. Looks tiring.

Great thing is no matter what - we only have to 'suffer' in the morning till church ceremony in the late afternoon and off we go.

As for honeymoon, must wait till Dar's project is over as well as whether we suffer a great loss. To think, his cousin thought church wedding give 12 bucks will do. Well, friend, maybe 10 -15 years ago. In this era, per pax is at least 20+ per pax no matter how you save and sting. Not to mention if it is outside church, I recalled when we did the search, we got a shock. Hi-tea is easily 40-60+++ at mid range hotels. Wow.. I really thank God for providing such a grand place for a reasonable price. But I also have the understanding, for wedding, no matter how much people give, as long as they come with a sincere heart to give blessings, we will be happy.

So, since we attended both today. We gave a bit more. Bless other so that blessings may continue. Now that we've been through, it is never cheap to get marry, no matter how simple thing may be. So, my advice for singles - Save, save, save! Get on and get over!
