Finally, the marriage preparation course is officially over!
Went for the last lesson with our marrying pastor this evening. Noted that we started our first test on 20 May 2006 which was stamped on our inventory booklet. Wow, that's more than half a year ago!
We went through:
- 5 (or was it 7?) lessons of non-biblical lesson with TOUCH centre
- 2 personality tests
- 10 weeks of nursery training (which inspired me to continue on as a volunteer)
- 2 lessons with our marrying pastor (MP)
This evening's sharing:Man needs
RESPECT and woman needs
LOVE. If man does not gain respect, he is not able to show love for the woman = unhappiness for both parties. So, is man able to show unconditional love all the time? And woman, is she able to give man that respect too? Able to control her mind, emotions and mouth at the same time?
That's a challenge for both parties. Many thanks to our MP who gave us a lot of flexibility to meet Dar's working schedule and good advices. He is indeed a very loving husband and father, more than willingly to share from his own personal experiences. Of course, feel free to seek more information from him any time!
Now, we will be receiving the invitation from our church to register our marriage! :)
But some bad news too. My sis who is the main co-ordinator for my wedding will be away for business trip in Germany till the eve of my wedding. My concern is getting flight delay and time zone. As for Dar, he will in charge of running project, will take leave 2-3 days before our wedding and be back to work once our wedding is over.
For once, I will take lead in the most important event of my life to-date. A time to test my organisation skills and patience!
End results - to be announced at the end of March.
