Before - Miss' hubby-to-be is a quiet man
After - Mrs' hubby by side, man of lesser words
Will above apply to both of us? May, maybe. For I have not shed a single kilogram.

Starting from today, will be the 30 days countdown to AD.
To date, we have given out all the invitation cards to our relatives. Since yesterday, I have been SMSing my friends for addresses to post out the cards. For closer friends, we managed to save the cards by e-invitation. Now, it's up to Dar on how he's going to manage with his cards. Hope that everything runs smoothly.
Tomorrow, we will meet up with our worship leader to pick songs, planning, liaising with musicians and MC. We have planned out itinerary on the actual day, so some minor changes as date approaches.
Now, gathering photos for childhood montage, slides on AD. Needs -confirmation on attendance, food, sitting arrangement, contacting people/helpers, buying gifts for both our parents. Collecting of photo album and fitting on 1st week of Mar. Not done on fathers' jackets, flowergirl and pageboy fitting.
Last week before wedding day, planning for Ah Yees' gathering on 'dealings' with Bros on AD morning.
Time flies.. A bit scary. Hahahh..

Blessed Prosperous Lunar New Year!
This year's CNY eve is special to me. It will be my last year of CNY eve reunion dinner with my family before I married off. Come next year, it will be 2 days before CNY or on 1st day of CYN. So, a sumptuous steamboat filled with seafood like raw sea cucumber from japan, abalone, tiger prawn etc. Yumyum.. This year also got more involved with spring cleaning and cooking as my mum is not well. My mum usually will make the special Teochew bing (Fried white skin with dao-sa) whereby we get to eat these once per year.
Woke up early this morning to go to church followed by visiting at my paternal grandparents' place. And after lunch, proceed home to open the CNY cookies and tibits bought. Now, my stomach filled with goodies, very full.
Tomorrow is another day of steamboat and visiting.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!
It may be special to some. For the singles, it became Friendship Day whereby a gang will go out. For us, nothing special. Except that he is not working, so he date me out for lunch. We went to Thomson Plaza and had set lunch @ Four Leaves. Great for value.
As we passed by the florist, saw guys queueing for flowers. Never celebrated V Day since Yr 1 of our courtship days. Initial years, I took leave on V Day just to help out at the florist. Image from eve till midnight de-thorning the roses and wrapping hundred of bouquets just for this special day. So, somehow, it became meaningless for me.
V Day is also to remind us to appreciate our loved ones. May this love and appreciation continue not just on this day and as we wake up each and every day.

Fi-Fi is my nickname at work.
It derived from my mum's pronunciation on the word 'fat-fat'. Anyway, it used to be my cousin's nickname and now, it's mine.
One thing for sure, I dont skip my meal and at times, I eat uncontrollably whereby they said it is terrible. And most of the time, when there is good food, I will be present. We had an allocation at our cube for food. Everyone who steps in, calls our office - ShengXiong Market. Outside, our 'rivalry' is 7-11. Recently, food ration has toned down but suppliers will bring in the demand after CNY.
This morning, had BF with usual gang, some guy commented that I should control my diet. Is he trying to imply that I am growing fat? Self-discipline needs to be reinforced with days of celebration coming up which I agreed.

Cant remember much what I did in the 2nd week of Feb.
Direct boss on MC, help to cover partial of her work. Monthly meeting with all directors flying in and a blink, they are gone.
Arranging for escort, lunch/refreshments, agenda, meet consultants.
Planning itineraries for everyone to fly off for summit in US and they are gone till CNY eve.
Weekend, a blink too. On Sat, woke up late, packed old clothes, lunch @ Balestier, late night shopping @ Tampines. On Sun, Sunday school, lunch @ Jackson's place, painting of gate and main door, shifting of sofa to friend's plc, house warming, joy, fun and home.
Today, cleared my emails and discussion, making necessary arrangement for next upcoming training, collect tangerines for CNY, distribution. 5plus already. Piles of paperwork remains untouched on my table and time to knock off.

Reading my header, you will know - upsetting day.
Well, yes. It started last evening. Over the room we have to stay. Already enduring the fact the flat will never come in time and Dar is quite reluctant to rent the flat because of some factors which I also understand and felt the very same. I decided to compromise to stay at his house and my house at times. But who know, some one thinks that I will occupy the place, forcing that person to take toilet queue in the morning etc. Why on earth is there such a self-centered person? For sure I know, when I treat that person nice, that person thinks I am trying to gain some thing out of it. So cold or hurtful most of the time, when that person is nice to me, I also suspect that there is a motive behind and BINGO! Simply nothing but truth I speak of.
Well, hurtful words once spoken is unable to recapture back. I cried for an hour non-stop. In front of my sister, I expressed my woes to her; my unhappiness of happening from courtship to current. First time, she saw me reacting this way. To her, I am always a 'princess' at home and well treated. Imaging years of withstanding, suppressing the issues and always putting up the happy face in front of my family, especially my mum. Till recent, some truth slowly uncovered and they finally understand why I am so bad tempered at times.
Even when Dar called me and told me how his parents had spoken to him individually and welcome me to stay. It's going to be a firm NO. No point letting him be the middleman and make life miserable for him later. If I move in, soon or later, the bomb will explore.
I cried myself to sleep. Morning, I woke up thinking I will just throw away these unhappiness but who knows in office, when my close colleagues asked on status of preparations, I cried. Not trying to win sympathy votes from those around me but they know me well. I controlled, if not, I know, my colleagues will cry with me :( Thanks gals for giving the support always!
The strong self of me is gone..
Just give me the chance to let go for awhile before I pick myself up again.
This is why I am being called WOMAN and He is a man.

Yehhh!!! Jogged few rounds around my neighbourhood park. Building up my stamina, it's been quite some time. Nowadays, I felt breathless after walking in between my 2 office buildings every morning and climbing the steps.
Record of 13-14mins for 2.4km. Dar said it's quite good someone who haven't been execising for a long time. I agreed. I really like the feeling of breeze against my face as I jogged and definitely builds up my health too.
He called me, the speedy Nissan March. Slow but in long mileage, good engine.
Mmmm.. Maybe should trying to do it at least 3-4 times per week. Then hit my ideal weight? >.<

Received an email - I am going to be an Official Sunday School Teacher!
Great feeling! This Sunday, I may obtain my perm badge, surrender my MPC badge and start wearing the yellow jacket!
Thinking and looking back, the kids that I taught in childcare 9yrs ago are already 10plus, early teens. Even if I meet them on the road, I dont think I will recognise them.
Time flies!
Next week, will be Valentine's Day! Never realised that till I saw some advertisements on the magazine yesterday. It's meaningless for me. Not that I dont enjoy the atmosphere of this special occasion but we surprised one another quite often too and spending quality time = V Day for me. Ok, dont want to add in too much mushy examples.
This evening, I felt a bit of swell underneath my eyelid. Dar too. This is what we called - 'mirror reflection'. If I get a pimple on my left, he too will have one on the right. Same thing happened when we laughed at one another on ulcer or food stuck etc. I always said that he got bunny teeth. In my BS pixs, mine became very obvious. He laughed when he saw it. Mine looked bigger than his. Wau lau! Never never laugh at people. I used to think I got a ugly or weird surname till I met him.
Chinese saying - One mountain is higher than another. This applies to good and bad things.

Making arrangement to view room tomorrow.
Intially pray that the flat will come in time but it has been 1/2 year and no good news. Since it's CNY coming, I doubt there will be people having intention to sell their place.
After much consideration, we decided to rent a room. A whole unit is too costly. Many advices to stay away from in-laws. No for my own family unless he is willing sleep in the living room.
Few offers by our friends, either too far or other factors. To me, given a choice, I will not rent from a friend no matter how easy-going they are. It's true that it may be difficult cause there may be issue(s) arising and kept since we know each other. Who knows some thing happens, and it sours the relationship.
So, in the end, thank God. Through a recommendation, there is a single lady who wants to rent out her room and the place is a bus stop away from my current place! So, I have just called her agent cum relative, going through the proper channel to make the legal arrangement. If no issue, the deal is on!
Somehow, fear gripped me. For the first time, I am going to be independent, w/o restriction. Probably, I have been overprotected by my mum since young and have not learnt to spread my wings. Recently, I only felt occupied but no excited about marriage. Till last evening, I purchased my first piece of furniture (Display set of coffee table and side table at cheap dirt pricing of SGD75 from Picket & Rail!) is the moment that I know I will be settling down with my loved one.
Hahah.. strange feeling.

Last minute decision to go into JB yesterday. Reached there with light traffic at 4.00pm.
Main purpose is to buy CNY goodies and do my hair. Had SGD350 on hand and this is what we bought:
- 6 pairs of biomedic contact lens
- 5 pairs of shoes/slippers
- 4 tins of Seasons cookies
- Bread for breakfast for 5pax
- Red umbrella for wedding
- Hair rebonding
- Misc. from Watsons
- Dinner and supper for 2
- Petrol top-up
- Car Wash
- RM 100 for Dar to spend
We really spent till $0 cent at the end of the day.
Pro(s): 100% Satisfaction for shopping spree and wished there's more time to shop.
Con: Caught in heavy jam for 2hrs before we reached home.

Everything started from 2.45pm.
The cake deliveryman met Dar at my void deck. A bit of hiccups. First, he came late. Also, he has forgotten about the 3tier basket as well as bringing 2 additional cake box as requested. Other than that, he is nice chap. Helped Dar to arrange the oranges and also bring up the stuff.
The procedure goes on as follows:
- 12 oranges on the 'Xi' plate
- Red clothes with wordings of "Bai Ni Hao He"
- Pin Jin ($$$)
- My 2 cute packets of hello kitty sweets as 'Xi Tang'
- 2 side table lamp
- Tea set
- 2 bottle of wines
- Towels
- Toothpaste / toothbrush
- Comb
- My pink pyjamas
- Sewing kit & 'Man Tang'
- Cakes (Round/assorted/Bing for my grandparents)
- Another type of teochew gao called 'Lao Ma Gao' for my grandma
- 1 red packet in replacement of the pig's trotters
- 2 additional boxes of traditional xi tang
- 2 hong bao for grandparents to buy shoes
My mum returns:
- Partial of Pin Jin (Usually close to half of given)
- 2 bottles of orange juice (In exchange for wine, meaning: Chang chang jiu jiu)
- Give back 8 oranges
- Give back some cakes and xi tang
- 2 ready packet of red dates, longan, lotus seeds etc.
- 1 hongbao packet as token to guy's side
- Some cakes to return too
After above, armed with invitation cards and boxes of cakes, we proceed. 12 places in total. 5 hrs spent.
Ended around 8.45pm and went for a hearty meal at HANS.
What a day! Thank God it's only once in a lifetime! Yipee... It's over too.
Now, time to Zzzzz..
