Making arrangement to view room tomorrow.
Intially pray that the flat will come in time but it has been 1/2 year and no good news. Since it's CNY coming, I doubt there will be people having intention to sell their place.
After much consideration, we decided to rent a room. A whole unit is too costly. Many advices to stay away from in-laws. No for my own family unless he is willing sleep in the living room.
Few offers by our friends, either too far or other factors. To me, given a choice, I will not rent from a friend no matter how easy-going they are. It's true that it may be difficult cause there may be issue(s) arising and kept since we know each other. Who knows some thing happens, and it sours the relationship.
So, in the end, thank God. Through a recommendation, there is a single lady who wants to rent out her room and the place is a bus stop away from my current place! So, I have just called her agent cum relative, going through the proper channel to make the legal arrangement. If no issue, the deal is on!
Somehow, fear gripped me. For the first time, I am going to be independent, w/o restriction. Probably, I have been overprotected by my mum since young and have not learnt to spread my wings. Recently, I only felt occupied but no excited about marriage. Till last evening, I purchased my first piece of furniture (Display set of coffee table and side table at cheap dirt pricing of SGD75 from Picket & Rail!) is the moment that I know I will be settling down with my loved one.
Hahah.. strange feeling.
