I felt like an aunty now. My grandma has given me some money to buy jewellery as gift for my wedding. I've been eyeing for diamond earrings (Of course, it doesn't come cheap, around $1K plus even for non-certified ones). But I gave up though I loved to have a pair. No point since it is just a piece of 'glass' in the eyes of guys.
Being 'brainwashed' by my colleagues during lunch that reasons for buying gold is worth more than diamonds. I changed my money about utilizing the money. Since GST will be increasing by end of the week, better do it fast.
In the end, this evening, I made a trip to Yishun Ctrl. Hearing from my colleague that there are some jewellery shops. I waited for Hubby to come and pick within the budget I had. Somehow, I felt so 'song' entering the place. Last time I went was to pick a gift for my mum and mum-IL. Always have the impressive that only older generation or 'aunty' will buy gold. Took a long time to pick the braclet. One thing about neighbourhood shops is that we can bargin. So 'Uncle' Goon helped me to save 9 bucks. In the end, still left another 100 for a small top-up like earring or pendent (I picked earring).
To cut the story short, I tried the earring back at home. It looked so nice. Well, gold looks good on me. Now, I think I want to go back and buy another braclet that I liked *Ching Ching* - salesman must be happy to see me again. Better still, I better digged out the gold items given by my relatives and try. (Ai Yoh, I am really an Aunty at heart! Die La!)
As for Dar, not only he bargined like an Uncle. On our way back after parking, he saw a decent cabinet to be dumped away outside the childcare centre. He was laughing and smiling. He intend to buy one for his camp to put bags. Now, he saw one, he GRABBED!! (He is stealing business or pick-up from the ah nei). OMG. Anyway, now he is on his way to camp after his friend lent him the van to deliver item to his camp.
So, ya la, married liao. Really turned us into the older generation - Uncle and Aunty!
