Never think that we will be traveling so much after my change of job and Hubby's transfer of workplace.
I am supposed to travel 4 times per year which both conferences are in Singapore this year, so it is home sweet home for me. Before I land myself in this job, I always think that traveling is fun even when work get involved and now, I realised it is worse than working in Spore.
Hubby has been in SA for a month and just now, he just discussed with me that he may away for another a month towards end of the year.
We plan to travel around together at least once or twice per year. This year, we have been no where. Last week, we talk about our holiday plans again. With his attachment and my work travel later, I see that it is 'gone with the wind' again.. ;(
I need a HOLIDAY! SOb!

Been tired lately. Have not been working on my final year project.
Down with eye swelling since last week and wore glasses for coming to a week. Last Sunday decided to switch back to contacts and it became watery after half a day. So, back to glasses. This is giving me a headache though I have wearing the older and comforty one. This motivates me to go for lasik after my last paper.
This morning, I went to the new place, the cable installed and toilet accessories done up. Hubby and I talked about the positions of accessories of all except for mirror. Well, what's done is done.. so, we will bear with it then.
Somehow, I prefer white dinning set.. The black table and brown chairs 'blown' off the white and simple look, but it can be replaced with white table cloth n maybe custom-made some white chair covers later.
Just settling small item like these took away my half day.
In the evening, my Korean colleague talks about Singapore doesn't use simple words like 'Jaded'.. No one guessed it correctly, imagine my colleagues who are all local uni grads thought it is link with jade.. well, you can check it out.

We spent the afternoon in search for the toilet accessories. Being Ms 'Simplicty' it kills as I want the design to be plain or simple and Dear needs it to be practical, so the search as usual is long and tedious, worse, out of stock for stuff I like.
Went to IMM to look for TV console. Kinda regreted buying stuff earlier. Red Apple having sales on package: $3888 for dinning set, tv console, sofa and coffee table. 2 or 3 items of mine is closed to the package. Hubby as usual, insist that we pay $$ for quality items, an encourager ;)
So tmr, we have the search for more accessories...
Went off our place, the designer changed the padlock w/u our knowledge! Cant get in. We did and check on defects as usual, nothing much except that Hub was disappointed to see more scratches on the door and the wood that was chipped off was on painted by a darker cherry brown!! While he started checking, I told him it's better to take things easy or we will never shift in or things turns for worse when they do rectification work.. sign..
Back home.. Dinner time! =)

Today is the handover of the house renovation which was mentioned by our Designer.
But we are not surprised, it was not done. The dinning lights were not fixed, heater, tape plus toilet accessories.
Worst, the so called 'well-done' coat of paints is just a coat of colour and some brushes of touch-up which Hubby mentioned that he could do a better job! He was so angry and frustrated that he quarrel with the 'experience' painter uncle and walk out of the house! Surprised? Yah, being Mr Nice Guy, one who hardly went out of control, so you could imagine why.
I was at work when he called me. Well, of course, I had to call my designer back. We had a 20min conversation, it was like 'debt' time, digging all the items out one by one, arguments. In the end, I ended the call with insisting that this is probably not the right time to talk about it and let's have the time to cool down for both parties as I dont see getting any solution out of this.
So, meaning, we have to settle the issues, iron out. Hubby is mad for once, dont wish to talk to designer, just want him to handover and maybe get someone else to help us.
Life is strange, when I became more 'easy-going', he did not. Yes, of course, this is our first home, I understand, Hubby just wants a wonderful home of our own..

Was on medical leave this afternoon.
Lower eyelid is swelling internally. Went to the doc which she explained that it may my contact lens which I doubt the usage and secondly my eye lashes which got in the eye. I felt it may be the 2nd reason I uses eye make-up often nowaday and my lashes dropped often.
Will be 'Ms Nerdy' for at least 3 days with my glasses and need to go for mini-operation if there is no recovery within this week for the little lump.
To Hub, he felt it's my hectic schedule that I have not rest enuff and improper care about my health. Everytime I am unwell, he will start complaining that I have insufficient rest and spent too much time at work etc..
Medication makes me sleepy.. Zzz...

Today is back to school. Last module to go and one last final year project.
My classmates also asked, have the house renovation completed and have I shifted> No.
Today I heard from hubby that the kitchen white solid table top came. He complained about the scratch mark (Unused and one scratch!!). Then my designer told him it's small matter and that they rush to change the panquet that was damaged.. should treat him tea.. I told Hubby should tell 'Yah, wait very long for the change liao'.
So, more unhappiness had happened but just forget whatever that has happened and look forward. This week my dinning set will come and next Sat, my bed.. hahaha..
Looking forward to shifting in soon.. the day will come.. ;)

I did some thing bad days ago; a nasty email to my designer.
Been almost 2 months since the house renovation started and nothing much has progress since Hub left till he returns. Of course, the pestering of relatives and friends to remain me to keep track of renovation work though I felt 'handicapped' w/o him around for a month. A photo of the bad ceiling painting which he told me it's bad job done our HDB main contractor which we doubt cause we did a defect check when we got our keys many months ago.

am writing to you cause I felt very upset about the delay of the renovation.
This afternoon, when WL went down with the glass contractor, he does admit that the glass in between dinning area and room was installed wrong due to his mistake though we have directly mentioned to him earlier.
I think you will have to communicate with your contractors as this is not the first time this happened. It is either dealing with the design, wrong installation or bad quality.
When we signed up with your company, this is for us to save time in all coordination and work. It has been almost 2 months and this is a simple renovation not involving major overhauling, overlaying etc.
I cannot understand but feel frustrated because of the repeated delay from committing to complete renovation from last month end to mid of this month and eventually close to end June. And we tried to source everything you required, especially the stressful moment when I have to work, cope with assignments and exams when WL is in overseas. I delivered and of course, in return, I expect the least of basic commitment, quality work and deadline.
We will shift into the house in the 4th week this month, June and I trust that everything should be in tact especially the rectification of damages and work. As mentioned in the last email, you can always arrange for WL to meet up with you and go through all the details.
I hope you will understand we are not trying to strain the relationship especially we know you through recommendation. But there are too many unsaid mistakes and errors that we have to bear, in the end, in short, we are just like any others who needs a wonderful place to stay and a place which called of our own.And you what know? My designer finally started chasing contractors!! The kitchen cabinet except for solid top is done, glass panel got reposition correctly, all lightings up just with these 2 days and we waited for almost weeks!
So I declared "I am NOT guilty".

Searching online at clubsnap and camera review.
I think I missed my old lost camera. It takes great, clear and wonderful pixs. After I lost it in Bali, I tried many other brands like sony, cannon etc, non like fuji 31d. Sob Sob, even if I want to buy another same model, they dont produced anymore too since it is an old model, though last time I complained about the size and bulky. But when I looked back, great pixs, everyone compliments and ask which model it is etc..
I think I need spent more $$$ to buy like Cannon E40 etc but again, I need something slim and compact.. How> I need a solution, I think it is called 'wait'.

Weekend seems shorter recently..
Last weekend, we spend time on house reno revamp and looking for the dinning table set so that we can match it against measurement for dinning lightings.
This weekend, we spend time helping out at friend's wedding, church in the afternoon and hunting for toilet accessories.
Wish there is some public holiday. But next is in August and that doesnt make any difference since Hubby works on that actual day. And sad thing is I want to book one of the SAF changi chalet and invite friends for celebrate since my birthday falls on weekend this year but all had been booked!
Need to think of something special.. Maybe house warming cum birthday celebration..
Will consider, now packing my messy room! ;)

Plans for house moving will be postponed.
The kitchen cabinets are being removed again, new layout because of the inconveniences that we won't like to have for at least next 5 years. Sent a listing of to-do list. Sigh. I cant understand why some enjoy house moving.
So, maybe month end will be the move-in time..

Searching online at clubsnap and camera review.
